Necati Öziri

Necati Öziri, born in Datteln in 1988, is a writer and dramaturge. He studied philosophy, German studies and modern German literature in Bochum, Istanbul, Olsztyn and Berlin. Öziri was a scholarship holder of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, taught formal logic at the Ruhr University Bochum and worked at the Ballhaus Naunynstraße Theatre in Berlin. From the 2013/14 season up to and including 2016/17, he was part of the dramaturgy team at Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, including two years as artistic director of Studio Я. He lives in Berlin.
