Vandana Shiva

Vandana Shiva, geboren 1952 in einem indischen Dorf am Fuße des Himalaja, ist promovierte Quantenphysikerin. Seit den 1970er-Jahren engagiert sie sich als Umweltschützerin, Feministin und Bürgerrechtlerin. Außerdem ist sie Mitglied im Club of Rome und im Weltzukunftsrat. 1993 erhielt sie für ihre Verdienste den Alternativen Nobelpreis. Shiva lebt in De­lhi und auf der Farm ihrer Eltern in Dehradun.
