Pirkko Saisio

Pirkko Saisio, born in Helsinki in 1949, is a Finnish actress and author. Her literary work spans various genres from screenplays to fiction. In 2007, she received her Finland’s most prestigious cultural award, the Pro Finlandia Medal. The novel “The Red Book of Farewells” was translated to German by Elina Kritzokat and published by Klett-Cotta in Stuttgart in 2023.
