Pankaj Mishra

Pankaj Mishra, born 1969 in Jhansi, India, is an essayist, writer and literary critic. He studied economics at the University of Allahabad and English literature at Jawarharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. He has taught in the University College in London, among other places. He is the winner of the Leipzig Book Prize for European Understanding. Mishra lives in London.
