Nicole Curato

Nicole Curato, born in 1983 in Quezon City, Philippines, is a professor of political sociology at the University of Canberra. Her work on deliberative democracy, populism, and the Philippines has been published in academic journals. Curato's award-winning book “Democracy in a Time of Misery” was published by Oxford University Press in 2018. She lives in Canberra.
