Michel Jean

Michel Jean, born in 1960 in Alma, Canada, is an author and journalist. He is an Innu from the Mashteuiatsh community and is considered one of Quebec’s most important indigenous writers. Since 1988, he has worked as a journalist and presenter for the French-Canadian television stations Radio Canada Info and TVA Nouvelles. He published numerous books, most recently the novel “Tiohtiá:ke” (German translation from French published at Wieser Verlag, 2023).
