Marcus Maeder

Marcus Maeder, born in Zurich in 1971, is a sound artist, researcher and music producer. He studied fine arts at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, philosophy at the University of Hagen and is currently doing his doctorate in environmental systems science at the ETH Zurich. Maeder's research focuses on eco-acoustic studies of areas, communities and organisms due to climate change and environmental problems. Soil recordings can be heard at www.soundingsoil.de.
