Maaza Mengiste

Maaza Mengiste, born in Addis Ababa in 1974, is a writer. As a lecturer in creative writing, she taught at Queens College, New York, and at Princeton University. Her most recent publication is her novel The Shadow King, published in 2019. Mengiste lives in New York.
