Ma Thida
Ma Thida was born in Yangon, Myanmar in 1966. She is both a doctor and an editor. Because she stood up for democracy and freedom, the current chairwoman of PEN Myanmar spent a long time in prison. Today, Ma Thida lives in exile in Berlin and hopes to return to her homeland one day.
