Lilian Thuram

Lilian Thuram was born in Guadeloupe in 1972 and is a former professional footballer, French national player, World Champion and European Champion. In 2008, he created the Fondation Lilian Thuram - Éducation contre le racism (in English, the Lilian Thuram Foundation for education against racism). He is the author of several books and has been awarded various prizes and honorary doctorates for his community engagement. His most recent book is White Thinking – behind the mask of racial identity (October 2021). It has also been published in French and German. Thuram lives in Paris.
