Joseph Weinberg

Joseph Weinberg, born 1989 in Durban, South Africa, is a musician and educator. After studying African music at the University of Cape Town, he was trained by mbira players from Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique. Weinberg currently lives in Berlin, where he conducts music workshops with children and performs with his mbira ensemble Pirilampos and with the duo Weinberg-Streun.
