John McWhorter

John Hamilton McWhorter, born in Philadelphia in 1965, is professor of linguistics, music history, and comparative literature at the Center for American Studies at Columbia University in New York. He is the author of more than twenty books, including “The Power of Babel” and a columnist for the “New York”. He also writes for “The Atlantic” and “The New Republic.” His book “Woke Racism: How a New Religion Has Betrayed Black America” became an immediate New York Times bestseller.
