Frauke Heard-Bey

Frauke Heard-Bey, born in Berlin in 1941, is a historian and political scientist. Over five decades, she has specialized in social and political developments in the Gulf region. Her particular focus is the United Arab Emirates, where she worked for 39 years at the Center for Documentation and Research, now the UAE National Archives. Heard-Bey lives in Abu Dhabi.
