Daniel Libeskind

Daniel Libeskind, born in 1946 in Łódź, is an architect. His most famous buildings are the Jewish Museum in Berlin (2002) and the master plan for the redevelopment of the Ground Zero area in New York (2003). He is also well known for the Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin and the Imperial War Museum North in Greater Manchester. In 1960 he moved to New York. He subsequently moved to Canada, Italy and Germany and other places, teaching at numerous universities, most recently at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg. Now Libeskind lives in New York.
