Damon Galgut

Damon Galgut is a novelist and playwright, born in 1963 in Pretoria, South Africa. He was awarded the 2021 Booker Prize for his novel “The Promise”, which explores the legacy of apartheid and its impact on one white family. His books have been widely translated. He lives in Cape Town.
