Chelsea Winstanley

Chelsea Winstanley, born 1976 in Tauranga, New Zealand, is a director and producer. Together with Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement she produced “What We Do in the Shadows”. She has also directed “Waru”, a collaborative project of nine female Maori-directors. The Berlinale 2019 showed the documentary “Merata: How Mum Decolonised the Screen”, which was produced by Winstanley. She lives in Los Angeles, USA.
