Abdulrazak Gurnah

Abdulrazak Gurnah was born on the island of Zanzibar in 1948. He fled to England as a student and taught English and postcolonial literature at the University of Kent. Today he lives in Canterbury. Gurnah has published ten novels so far, including and “Paradise Lost” and “Afterlife” . In 2021, Abdulrazak Gurnah was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
