Tim Jackson

Tim Jackson is a British economic expert. He is the Director of the Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity (CUSP). He studied Mathematics, Philosophy and Physics. Since 2000 he has been working as a professor for Sustainable Development at the University of Surrey. He went on to found the research group Resolve in 2006, which deals with the interdisciplinary correlation between lifestyle and the environment. In 2011 his book “Wohlstand ohne Wachstum – Leben und Wirtschaften in einer endlichen Welt” (oekom, München) was published. As a Commissioner for Economic Affairs, he assisted the UK government under the UK Sustainable Development Commission (SDC). He lives in Guildford, Great Britain.
