Taiye Selasi

Taiye Selasi, born in London in 1979, is a writer and photographer. She coined the term “Afropolitan”, referring to a new generation of world citizens with African roots. Her first novel “Ghana must go” was published in 2013 and her 2015 TED talk, “Don't ask where I'm from, ask where I'm a local” was viewed almost three million times. Selasi lives in Lisbon.
