Ruth Asan

Ruth Asan, born 1988 in Würzburg, is a communications counselor and journalist. Between Berlin and Nairobi she works with the Goethe-Institut and further contributed to an environmental project for the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). She is the co-founder of the training programme SaWA, where she coaches young women from Nairobi in finding employment and connects them with mentors. Since 2018 she is digital communications manager at Fraunhofer IPK. As a freelance journalist she was published in taz, and other news organisations. Asan lives in Berlin.
