Philippe Sands

Philippe Sands, born in London in 1960, is a lawyer, professor of international law and director of the Centre for International Courts and Tribunals at University College London. He is committed to humanitarian goals and international law and has, among other things, was involved in the extradition of the Chilean dictator Pinochet. His novel East West Street: On the Origins of "Genocide" (S. Fischer, Frankfurt a. M.) was published in 2016 and was awarded several prizes. He lives in London.
