Mathias Énard

Mathias Énard, born 1972 in Niort, France, is a writer, poet and translator. A number of his novels have been published in English, most recently "Compass" (New Directions Publishing, 2017), which was was awarded the Prix Goncourt. In 2019, Énard published a volume of poetry. He lives in Barcelona and La Rochelle.
