Lila Avilés

Lila Avilés, born in Mexico City in 1982, is an actress, author and film director. Her debut film ‘La camarista’ (‘The Chambermaid’, 2018) premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival; her second film ‘Tótem’ (2023) at the 73rd Berlinale. Both films were nominated as Mexico's entry for the Oscars.
