Krystian Lada

Krystian Lada is a Polish opera stage director and librettist. Active on the international opera scene, lives in Belgium, where he was the Director of Dramaturgy, Empowerment and Communication at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie. In 2017, he established “The Airport Society” – a nomadic collective of artists and activists concerned with innovation at the intersection of opera and society. He is the first laureate of the Mortier Next Generation Award 2019 for exceptional promise in the field of new opera and music theatre.
