Jule Govrin

Jule Govrin, born in 1984, is a cultural theorist and philosopher. She received her doctorate researching the interrelation between sexuality, concupiscence and economics. She is the author of “Sex, Gott und Kapital – Houellebecqs Unterwerfung zwischen neoreaktionärer Rhetorik und postsäkularen Politiken” (Edition Assemblage, Münster, 2016). As a freelance writer she also contributes to the online outlet of the German newspaper Die Zeit. In 2017 she commenced field research at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) in Porto Alegre, Brasilia. A year later she took up a position as scientific staff at the Europa Universität Flensburg.
