Gillian Foulger

Gillian Foulger, born 1952 in Ipswich, is a geologist and a professor for geophysics at Durham University. Her fields of expertise are volcanology and seismology. After the conclusion of her studies, she spent several years in Iceland to conduct field work. She further directed research in the USA, including Hawaii and the Yellowstone National Park. For her contributions to geophysics, Foulger was honored by the Royal Astronomical Society in 2005. She lives in Durham.
