Emel Mathlouthi
Emel Mathlouthi, born in Tunis in 1982, gained fame as a protest singer during the Arab Spring in 2011. Her music combines traditional Arabic sounds with modern genres such as electronic and metal. Her most recent album “MRA” was made exclusively by women. She now lives in Paris and is artistically committed to social justice and women's rights.
