Cornelia Funke

Cornelia Funke, born in Dorsten in 1958, is an author of children's and young adult literature. She has written several international bestsellers, including The Thief Lord and Inkheart. Her works have been awarded numerous prizes and have been translated into over fifty languages. In 2015, she was honoured by Time magazine as one of the hundred most influential people in the world. Today she lives in Malibu.
