Ildar Abusjarow


Ildar Abusjarow, born 1975 in Gorky, today's Nizhny Novgorod, is a Russian writer with Tatar roots. Abusjarow is the managing director of the Russian literary magazine October. In 2011 he was awarded the New Pushkin Prize for his literary work. In his texts he reflects the Tatar tradition in post-Soviet everyday life. In 2012 one of his stories was filmed in Kazan. Abusjarow lives near Moscow.
