Yassin al-Haj Saleh


Yassin al-Haj Saleh was born in 1961 in Raqqa in Syria. In 1980, while he was studying medicine, he was arrested for opposing the regime and spent 16 years in Syrian prisons. Since 2013 he lives in Istanbul. Alongside numerous articles written in Arabic, he has published the book: “The Impossible Revolution: Making Sense of the Syrian Tragedy”.
