Hilal Sezgin


Hilal Sezgin, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1970, is an author and journalist. She studied Philosophy, Sociology and German Studies in her hometown. After contributing to the Frankfurter Rundschau, Sezgin now works as freelance journalist writing for numerous papers such as Berliner Zeitung, Die Zeit, NDR and WDR. In addition, her column “Schlagloch” is published regularly in the daily taz. In 2017 her book “Nichtstun ist keine Lösung – Politische Verantwortung in Zeiten des Umbruchs” (DuMont, Köln) was published. Sezgin is living in Lüneburg, in the state of Lower Saxony.
