Kararaina Te Ira


Kararaina Te Ira, born in 1990 in Te Papaioea, New Zealand, studied art history and Maori studies. She was curator of the Puke Ariki Museum in New Plymouth, where she specialised in the conservation of Maori textiles and cultural objects. Today she advises the New Zealand Ministry of Culture on the protection of Maori culture. Te Ira lives in Wellington, New Zealand.
