Per Espen Stoknes, born 1967 in Oslo, is author and professor based at Handelshøyskolen BI, a Norwegian business college. He studied psychology at Oslo University. Additionally, he holds a degree in Green Economy. In his books, Stoknes mainly devotes himself to topics in the fields of ecology and economic psychology. His most recent publications include "What We Think About, When We Try Not To Think About Global Warming” (chelsea green, Claremont, 2015) where analyses why many people deny the reality of climate change and how to communicate successfully with them. His ted talk on “How to transform apocalypse fatigue into action on global warming” garnered close to three million views. Stoknes also serves as deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway in Oslo, where he lives. He tweets as @estoknes.
