Charles Taylor


Charles Taylor, born 1931 in Montreal, is political scientist and philosopher. He studied and taught at McGill University in Montreal and at the University of Oxford. For his contributions to philosophy and science, he was honored multiple times. Amongst others, he is the recipient of the renowned Templeton-Prize. In 2017 his book "The Langage Animal: The Full Shape of Human Linguistic Capacity" (cambridge university press, Cambridge, 2016) was published. Recently, Taylor lectured and researched at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS). Taylor lives in Montreal.
