Kai Schnier, born in 1989 in Arnsberg, studied International Politics and Journalism at the University College Maastricht, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and at the Otto-Suhr-Institute of the Free University of Berlin. Starting in 2016 as a trainee, he works as an editor at Kulturaustausch. In addition, his pieces were published by Arte and ZDF. Since 2019 he has been involved with Reporters without Borders. Schnier lebt in Berlin.
