Loay Mudhoon


A political scientist and scholar of Islam, Mudhoon is based in Cologne, where he teaches about, and researches, the Middle Eastern region. His main interests include the relationship between Islam and democracy, as well as innovative approaches toward an Islamic reformation. He is an expert in Middle Eastern affairs and appears often on German television, as well as being the executive editor of the Internet magazine, qantara.de. He lives in Cologne.
