Karen Abbs


Karen Abbs, born in Canada in 1971, has been working as a psychotherapist in humanitarian aid for over 13 years. She has spent time in the Middle East as well as in Central and East Africa, working for MSF and the Centre for Torture Victims. Today, she is Wellbeing Director at Rakuba, an organization that advises humanitarian NGOs. Abbs studied art therapy and psychology at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. She lives in West Sussex in southern England.
