Short news from Colombia.
In a popular referendum, locals in the Colombian areas of Arbeláez and Pijao voted against oil exploration and mining in their province. Of those who voted, 99 percent were opposed to test drilling by the Chinese-Indian petroleum company, Mansarovar Energy. Earlier tests had caused landslides and polluted ground water.
